What is CEV BSV?

CEV BSV represents a major upgrade over CEV4: covering more engine power bands, enforcing much stricter particulate and PM emissions, introducing mandatory aftertreatment tech, and expanding into safety and noise regulations. From Jan 2025 onwards, all new non-road diesel equipment in India must meet these standards — a big step toward cleaner, safer, and more sustainable industrial operations.

The pollution reduction in CEV BSV norms is significant, particularly in terms of (PM) Particulate Matter (~40% lower PM) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOₓ) remains like CEV4 (0.4 g/kWh for 56–130 kW range) with stricter durability and test cycles.
